Wkkgz - Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act

“As of January 1, 2017, all healthcare providers in the Netherlands must meet requirements set in the context of the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). Our/my practice also meets these requirements. I would like to briefly explain what this means.

Complaints officer

As a client of our/my practice, it may happen that you have a complaint about the care provided. Our/my preference is that you discuss this complaint directly with us/me. If for any reason you do not like this, we/I offer you to make use of an independent complaints officer free of charge.

Dispute resolution body

You are free - if the mediation of the complaints officer does not lead to the result you want - to turn to the independent disputes body recognized by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport to which we/I are/am affiliated.

As of 1-11-2023, our/my practice is affiliated with a recognized dispute resolution body. The dispute resolution body is authorized to issue binding opinions in order to reach a settlement between the parties. A claim for damages may also be granted. More information can be found on the NIBIG website.

Contact

If you have a complaint, you can contact NIBIG via complaints@nibig.nl. They will inform you about the options and any further procedure.”
